Privacy policy

Template. Have a lawyer review before launch.

This site is for parents. Here is what we collect, why, and who we share it with, in plain English.

Who we are

This site is run by Baby Cents, 315 S Cesar Chavez Blvd, Dallas, TX 75201. Questions about privacy go to support@babycents.com.

When you order, Whop handles your payment. We never see your full card number.

Orders and payments are processed by Whop. Whop shares with us what we need to send your order: your name, email, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. Whop’s own privacy policy covers the payment details it holds.

When you contact us, we keep your message so we can answer it.

That includes your name, email, order number if you give one, and what you wrote.

We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure our ads.

The Meta Pixel runs in your browser and sets cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc) that tell Meta when someone who saw our ad visits the site, views the book, starts checkout or buys.

The Meta Conversions API sends the same kind of event from our server to Meta. With it we send:

  • your email, phone, name and address, hashed (scrambled one-way) before they leave our server
  • browser identifiers such as the _fbp and _fbc cookies and a random visitor ID
  • your IP address and user agent (your browser and device type)
  • what happened (for example, a purchase and its amount) and the page it happened on

Meta uses this to tell us which ads work and to show our ads to people likely to want the book. Meta’s own policies govern what it does with the data.

Your browser remembers a few things so checkout works.

We use your browser’s local storage for a random visitor ID, and session storage for your current order and the page you arrived on (including ad tags in the link). Session storage clears when you close the tab.

We don’t sell your personal information.

We share it only with the services that run this shop: Whop for payments, Meta for ad measurement, Mailgun for order and support emails, our website host, and whoever packs and ships your order.

Some state laws count ad pixels like Meta’s as “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out by emailing us at support@babycents.com, and we’ll stop sharing your data with Meta for advertising.

This site is for parents, not children.

The site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for 7 years, for your order, the guarantee, and tax and accounting rules. We keep messages you send us for 2 years. After that we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for advertising. Email support@babycents.com and we’ll answer within the time the law allows. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

If you live in California or another state with a privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Utah), you have the rights that law gives you, including the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can use an authorized agent; we may need to verify the request first.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
